I get lunch at Nooners several times a week and have done so for at least 10 years (usually take-out). The food is always delicious - very fresh and homemade. Their soups and sandwiches are especially good (and the cookies....). I find the staff are always friendly, know regular customers by name (and their usual orders) and are very efficient despite the large number of people who are there for lunch every day. I do not think there is a lunch place anywhere else in London that can match Nooners for quality, speed and value. Read more

I am not vegetarian but I have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Last time, I had the potato apple gratin with sweet potato corn bread and it was one of the best tasting dishes I've had in a restaurant. I hope this restaurant is able to move to a bigger location soon as it is a bit cramped where they are now. It was very busy when my daughter and I were there for dinner, but that does not excuse them from trying to seat us at a dirty table. The waitress cleared cups from the table and then immediately put the menus and utensils down for us. I had to ask her to please wipe the table first! We also had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled when they were empty (which never impresses me in a restaurant....isn't that their job?) In spite of this, yes I would go back because the food is so delicious...they just need to focus a little more on providing the service people expect when they decide to dine out for an evening. Upon discovering this place, I have been at least once a week either for a pot of tea, a quick lunch or a dinner with my partner. The atmosphere is relaxed and not rushed - the dining room is relatively small so service is able to see when you are in need of anything. Everything on the menu is vegetarian and so full of flavor! Sometimes restaurants will just give you the meat version without the meat and that will be their vegetarian options but here you get treated to refined and practiced vegetarian dishes. I only had a cupcake as I had already eaten when I stumbled upon this place during the Sound of Music Festival in the summer but it was a great first impression. I had a Dulche de Leche Cupcake that was really tasty- not overly sweet. It was not very light and fluffy, but maybe this is the norm for dulce de leche cupcakes? Anyway, it was a very impressive cupcake being gluten free and vegan! I think I remember it was ever sugar-free? The place itself is very cute (so colourful!) and the staff was very friendly.
