I had a very good experience at VK Optical. Tucked into a small shop on St. Clair, I found a lot of interesting frames, much nicer than what the box stores sell. I have been using Hakim Optical for about 10 years now to fill my prescriptions for glasses and they have always given me excellent service. The frames are very stylish and I most times end up buying 2 at the same time with the many deals they have. I discovered this place in the Yellow Pages years ago when trying to find a pair of sunglasses. No one understood what I was looking for until I came here. Issac understood what I was saying when i told him I needed sunglasses to make the world duller not brighter because of my sensitive eyes. He recommended a pair of Maui Jim's with a grey lense vs a bronze lense. They wre perfect. Since then have bough reading glasses for my husband, regular glasses for me -amazing selection and they really know their stuff. Finally went in to buy new contacts and he recommended bi-focal lenses vs regular which I love! I now no longer need to wear reading glasses with my contacts.Highly recommend them. Read more
