We try and give all the restaurants' in Grande Prairie equal time. We have eaten here many times in the last 12 years and especially for breakfast. The food is tasty, very friendly staff, it is clean and has plenty of room and table is you go as a large goup. I would say it is just as good as any of the other restaurants' in Grande Prairie. Found this on day two of our five days here and never went anywhere else. We had a variety of meals there and everything was fabulous. Met the owner, Karen, and she told us everything that can be, is real. No factory food, boil in a bag stuff here. And we eat in alot of restaurants these days. Trust me...that is a rarity. And so is being able to order bacon and eggs at 7 at night. The staff were great and made us laugh like crazy. When we go back to Campbell River for fishing, we are going to Banners. What a wonderful place for lunch this past weekend! We sat on the small, yet sunny patio out front and loved it. The Gooey Cheese Griller sandwich, the vegetarian sandwich, the spinach salad and french onion soup were wonderful. So yummy! And on Saturday's sangria pitchers are on special...and they were good! Not too juice tasting/sweet like most other places. The only downfall I would say is the bathroom - it was not very clean and wasn't a great way to end lunch! If there is a heaven, I hope to God Mon Petit Choux is the caterer. I'm pretty sure I could easily live out the rest of my natural life at a table in the corner - and easily slip into the next life completely satisfied. Why is it so divine, you ask? Well, for starters it's a French bakery and that's just about all you need to know. These people can do things with pastries that will make you forget you ever knew of the word diet - seriously look at the pictures! I started with the quiche, moved onto this divine pizza pastry, tried just about all of my friends pastries and finished off with a cappuccino. Then I went back to my hotel room and slept off the carb sins. I did not repent, nor do I ever plan to. One small word of warning for people with allergies though. The kitchen is not separate from the dining room and the air is filled with flour and sugar. Within 15 min of being inside my eyes were itchy and watering - but my companions who don't have allergies were fine.
