BMV Books

I have never been to BMV to sell books, but every time I go to buy, the staff have been very helpful and friendly, and their prices are really good! I think they have a great selection - not as many books as, say, Indigo, but for the size of their store they really fit a lot into it. I enjoy going there and would recommend checking out their store before making your way to Indigo. Love BMV! I am soooo relieved that this location was not sacrificed to the urban development overlords. :)

I just left BMV B...

I just left BMV Books on Yonge St and I can honestly say that I will never go there again. Yes it is New Years Eve and yes maybe I should have called ahead to ensure that I could sell my books today but in no way does any of that explain the rude behaviour of the employee. When I approached the counter, no one in line, I had to offer a greeting before I was acknowledged. Ok, no biggie. Explained I had some books to sell and was he the one to speak to...oh boy, wrong question! With a sigh and still not tearing his eyes from whatever he was doing, he flicked his finger and ordered me to put them on the counter. When I suggested that we didn't have to do this right now, he finally got up, came over very reluctantly, explained he was the only one working today, and he had told anyone who had called not to bring in books today. Remember there was no one at the counter when I walked in and maybe 10 people in the store in total! I left.
