Alaways enjoy the experience, with great service and excellent food. Often hit wing night on thursdays wings are always great and so is the super cold beer. My wife and I only go to The Docks when we go out in Bayfield and one of us always gets the fresh fish (perch or whitefish), Really excited to get back out on that patio overlooking the Bayfield river
We are regulars at "The Docks" . My fiance' and have always enjoyed a great meal and drink. We have attended both day time and evening events. From time to time the wait staff have been a wee bit "off" but those are generally the new and inexperienced ones. It is hard to find good help these days. We understand that. This merely affects the tip they are left so they only hurt themselves. As far as the full timers?Great folks. We have always been satisfied with our meal and overall experieince.
Orders were messed up and by the time they were straigthened out one party was done eating.
Food portions were small and not cooked to order.

Wait staff seemed like they didn't want to be here and were preocuppied. Overall experience was disappointing.
The drinks from the bar were the only good thing...but how could you mess up a bottled beer.

We've really enjoyed this reincarnation of a familar old restaurant. We've been coming to Bayfield for years and every season this place has a different owner and set-up, but it finally looks like the Docks is going to stay. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable bar staff and fairly good wait staff make the service just above average. The menu has lots to choose from and we haven't been disappointed with the specials. Except one special: watch out for the seafood trio that has just two shrimply shrimp making up the final third - that seemed a bit cheap on the kitchen's part. Otherwise, we enjoy the Docks and are repeat visitors. If you're coming to Bayfield, try the north side of the river for a change and visit the Docks. Great bands on the weekends too.
