After my jeep was broken into and a passenger window was smashed, they were extremely helpful in getting me in for a same day replacement. They were professional, compassionate with my situation, and so very helpful and accommodating when I mentioned my need to get on the road asap. Had a bad experience with loose glass left in the door and a broken clip on the door light cover. Had lower quotes elsewhere and now wish I had went somewhere else.
April 18 2013 ROYAL OAK Location
I had taken my wife's Sunfire car to the Royal Oak location, for replacement of a shattered drivers window, big big mistake. About 30 min. later , I got a phone call telling me that the window mechanism was damaged and that I needed a new one as this was common. I asked them to wait, as I was only 5 min. away. The point being, I had installed a new one in Nov.. Upon arriving I asked if I could check it out as for warranty claim. The management was not friendly or interested. Upon examining the mechanism I found it to be working as intended with the problem being, the worker had no knowledge of how it worked. As being the window was broken, the window guide bar tipped over, and was jamming against the door panel as he was trying to make it go up. I told the worker he had to hold it straight as he was raising the mechanism, and that it was ok. I assured him to put the new window in, push back the guide bar and and it would match up. I also mentioned to vacuum the glass out good. There was no help or assistance or interest by other workers or management. Glass Masters would have charged me about $250.00 for a new window regulator and they would have had the same problem. I was hurried in to the office and told to pay the bill! I picked up the car 2 hours later, all seemed fine. Two days later the window is grinding glass when going up. Call Royal Oak and mention the problem. I receive a hostile reply that there was no warranty on the work because I had bent, altered, the mechanism , but my invoice did not show this. I called the General Manager of Glass Masters at the south store, Brad. He listened to my story and asked me to bring the car to his location as soon as possible and that his best man would be on it. I arrived at opening and had the car taken in right away. Two hours later and a good cleaning A OK.
