What a fantastic little eatery for a casual bite. Fantastic selection of nibblies and an even better selection of beers from around the world. A definite must for anyone looking to chill out in a funky downtown spot. Expect to wait on busy nights, I've been there twice now and each time had to wait 10 minutes for a table but the wait is worth every second...not to mention that they will bring you your first drink order to sip while you wait for a table to come free. Great British-themed pub in Newport Village! During the Fall and Winter months it is often packed with a casual, yet fun crowd all weekend long. There is live entertainment on the weekends, which can be fun as well. The servers are attentive and the food is generally good (for pub food). I recommend sticking to the more traditional dishes like the stuffed baby yorkies, Guinness soup, shepherd’s pie, and the steak and Guinness pie (my fave!). We were there this past weekend for the first time in awhile and we realized why we love it so much – it’s that comfortable pub down the street when the weather is bad and you don’t feel like cooking! Going along Broadway I have noticed the restaurant many times and finally decided to drop in for brunch to give it a go. We sat outside, we didn't mind waiting for a table there. Service was fine and the food came fairly soon. I had an excellent smoked ham benedict which came with cubed fries and a very fresh salad. Read more
