This pub is absolutely one of my favorites. Easy to walk to from the LRT and bus stops and in the trendy Stephen Ave area, its atmosphere is awesome. The prices are competitive and specials are on everyday of the week. It is certainly one of the most affordable pubs out there - serving $6 Caesars even on Saturdays. With live music, too, its a busy and energetic place. Definitely recommend it!

Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious.
The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant.
Overall, I would visit West restaurant again.

This pub is usually quite empty so its perfect for big groups - you can sit anywhere you like and be as loud as you like. Quite honestly, I don't understand why its not busier. Tipperaries is close to where I work and also close to home. I have enjoyed eating their food for over 5 years now. I find their prices to be pretty reasonable. I personally have particularly enjoyed their Boxty (potatoe crepe with chicken filling), their Pizzas (my favourite is Shamrock), the Avocado Chicken Burger (had that today), the Beef Dip (had that earlier this week), and the Chicken Club Wrap (last week). Good staff, good food, good location.

My Girlfriend and I will be moving soon in the Wentworth area and we just discovered the Fergus & Bix beer market. Their menu is comfort food inspired and they have a great selection of micro brewed beer. I recommand this place to anyone!
