We have been coming to Ako for authentic Mediterranean food and the food is delicious. We eat at Ako at least once every 2 weeks ... the chicken in a pita and my fave the falafel meal which comes with a salad, stuffed wine leaves and those delicious falafels with garlic sauce for even more flavour. We recently went to Allison's at the Best to have lunch. We knew of them from their successful catering business. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has had a wonderful makeover and was very comfortable to enjoy our meal. The food was scrumptious and the service was excellent! Barb & Doug the owners were even there to say hello. Have been a regular at Ami for a couple years now and let me tell you they have yet to let me down. We usually order nigiri sushi and rolls. The nigiri is the best you will find in Oakville hands down. The piece of fish you get is twice the size of the rice making it a very generous portion. I have eaten at at least 10 other sushi joints in town and prefer Ami nigiri any day. The staff is amazing and they even deliver. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and they are very happy to see you. Try it. Read more
