Prestige east taxi by far is by far the best taxi accommodation service I have received thus far in the province of NL. Their staff members are kind, compassionate and energetic, their service is time efficient and their cabs are very well maintained - smoke free and clean (there is nothing worse). Their drivers opt not to have meter's and so they don't believe charging when stopped at red lights and when traffic is slow moving which Is very convenient for me as i use (prestige) taxi service on a regular basis and as a result, only costing me
the amt. of km it takes to get to your destination with no variations in price from day to day. Their customer relations and willingness to help (opening doors, offering to assist in carrying your belongings etc..) to ensure they provide you with the upmost enjoyable and respectful transportation certainly don't come with your typical everyday taxi service! Last fall, we were in St. John's and a very pleasant taxi driver, with lots of info to share, took us up Signal Hill. I was looking for money to give him as a tip and left my change purse on the back seat of the taxi. Three quarters of an hour later, I realized I'd lost my purse, a keepsake from a friend. I never expected to see it again. But when we came out to get on the bus to take us back downtown, there was our taxi driver with my purse, waiting specifically for us. What a great ambassador!

We were two ladies down from Nova Scotia to visit Newfoundland for the first time, walk on passengers on the ferry and had heard about a great band playing at the legion in Port Aux Basques. Don was our taxi driver and he was awesome, said it would be 15 minutes to pick up time, he was there in 10. Fast, courteous service and when I asked how late he would be working he said he would stay until we called. When I did call at 3am, he said I am outside waiting for you. Great Job!! Thank you!!
