OVERALL: Just listen to Frank Sinatra - Almost Like Being In Love. And you'll be humming it after you leave Canyon Creek. Or at least i was.
FOOD: The only reason it's not the Best meal ever is because yes on occasion you may get a poor cut of meat or flavorless fish. And I have been to dinner and lunch here for a few years now. But the Service keeps this review very high.
SERVICE: If you have a problem with your meal they will go above and beyond to satisfy you, don't be shy, speak up and let them know because they genuinely encourage it. If you are rude to them they'll be respectful to you and politely ask you to leave. If you are nice to them they'll become your best friend. And if you treat them like you do your best friends, they'll become family. I once had a sore throat the entire day and without me asking, the waiter actually brought me a spoon and some warm honey to coat my throat. Oh my goodness. Now that is service.
ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful fireplace, amazing ceiling, perfect lighting, great music, very clean, very comfortable yet elegant. Take a date she or he will love it.
PRICE: Truly a place that stays true to the saying, you get what you pay for. Expensive but worth it.

I love Charlie's Steakery! The food is so good! We ordered our sandwiches and was waiting for them. The man behind the counter forgot about our french fries. He was very apolegetic and kind. He said after we get our sandwiches, to sit down and he would bring our french fries to us. We received our sandwiches, which were delicious, and we sat down. After a few minutes, the man gave us our french fries, and a free glass of lemonade. He said the lemonade was for forgetting the french fries. Such a nice guy! The food can't be topped, and I will definitely return again. This is the best fast-food place I have ever been to. The service was excellent!

Although they're famous for their chicken, we'll be going back for their fish (and maybe try the chicken for my 'no way I'm eating fish' husband). My son and I were looking for a quick bite for lunch after doing some shopping at the nearby Scholars Choice and found this place. Smelled soo good. As we didn't see a lot of prices or labels, my son ordered the Portuguese sausage sandwich and I lingered over the windows filled with mountains of fish, rice, potatoes and was served by a very pleasant and helpful young man. I asked about a particular dish and ended up ordering the amazing looking and super delicious cod with a side of potatoes, The server put two layers of potatoes in a good sized container, covered it with the huge portion of cod and then he began spooning a loving amount of the yummy sauce over the dish. As it really isn't a sit down place, we were hungry and ate there. I paid less than $20 and was in heaven. My son enjoyed his sausage but will definitely order the cod next time. Was surprised to read about 'grumpy' servers. Ours even thanked us for coming on our way out. Maybe because it was in the early Friday afternoon, we saw that customers were served quickly (looked like they ordered huge quantities ahead) and courteously. Definitely going back for that cod. Pssst...I overhead the guy tell someone its only available Fridays and Saturdays.

Ordered the $98 Lobster Sashimi for 2 set menu. Good portion, lobster served 2 ways, follow with Salad Bar, Soup and 2 Steaks.
Service was great, no rushing you thru the courses, clears the table after each course. must be patient, waited 10-15mins for the sashimi, but you can head on to the salad bar to start up with some fruits and lettuce. Good variety of Vegs @ the salad bar.

When I crave very hot wings this is where I go. By far one of the hottest wings in town. I usually order the "death" or "armageddon" sause depending on my mood. I have noticed that the degree of how spicey the wings are can vary on any given day. My only gripe about this joint is that they have the shoe string fries & I personally like the thick cut fries to compliment my wings. As a man who has been chompin on wings for over 20 years, this place is one of my favorites. The service is decent & the place looks clean. The menu does seem to have variety for those who may crave something else other than wings.

This restaurant is a MUST TRY!! We ordered the tasting menu (don't forget to give 24 hrs notice), it was absolutely incredible. Pricey but worth it! The portion sizes were huge, we could barely make it out the door.
The wait staff is incredible, we were asked upon arrival what our preferred pace for eating was, quick or nice and easy....who does that? Most restaurants want you in and OUT!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, incredible food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail! Barrie has about 7 good restaurants....this one's near the top!!
