Not sure what to expect but the food was amazing! All of us are Caribbean(descent or born) & tried some of the jerk items on the menu. All of the positive comments were compared to what we have eaten from our various islands & the chef(s) there would be welcomed to our islands anytime with open arms! I ate here with my family and we were delighted to find another teppanyaki place after losing our favourite one in the west end, and being disappointed at the Village. I am disabled, and access use an issue that they cannot solve at that location, but they do everything that is possible to make up for it. We know our teppanyaki, and were very pleased. There is a huge difference between a family owned restaraunt and a box shop. If you want bagged meat and pre portioned specials then do not go here. My family and friends have been coming here for upwards of 10 years. Since we have been coming, they have had the same 2 chefs, same owners, and same front house staff, we always know that our experience will be fantastic. They are always willing to accommodate (and remember ) my families various likes and dislikes, seating us at our favorite table, and make us feel like we are truly welcome. The food is hot, homemade, traditional, delicious and worth every penny. The service is knowledgeable, delightful, and efficient. They pride themselves on their staff as well as ensuring that any major game that is playing is on every TV. This means hockey, baseball, football, UFC, golf- you name it they have it. Oh and the wings, fries and garlic dip is delicious. My personal favorite is the Hot n Honey wing sauce or the Suicide wing sauce. I would suggest going on Tuesday for wing night, or on Thurs or Fri which is their busiest nights.
