I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and price of the food at Sushi House. We ordered seafood soup (like a gyoza soup), bul go gi, sashimi, three orders (6pc.) of unagi sushi, and tea (of course). The sashimi was fresh and the cuts were of a good size. I have been there many times before and the food is always tasty and well priced. I would recommend it to anyone!... However, as a personal sidenote... I prefer sashimi to be really cold, almost-but-not-quite-frozen. The sashimi at Sushi House was cold but not as cold as I like it.

I come to this place because it is close proximity to where I live.
The atmosphere of this place is amazing. There are booths set up like Japanese-styled rooms, jazz music is played in the background (okay not authentic, but meh), the chopsticks are placed in either bamboo boxes or in mini-kimonos.
The food, well, it really depends on what your order. I give top marks to the rolls they have, and I especially recommend the Toronto and Monster rolls, those two are unique in their own ways. I didn't like their sushi and sashimis, found their fish rather not fresh. The ramen and udons are excellent. Tempura is a no-go.
Service-wise is quite wishy washy due to a lack of staff, especially if you're sitting by the booths. The ring for service technique is ineffective; even I can't tell how the mechanism will notify waitresses that you need assistance. They are very friendly though.
Will I visit again? Yes, of course. Just know what you're ordering. Hey, if you visit often, the chefs sometimes give something new for you to try!

This review is way past due; I've been coming here frequently for over 5 years now for no reason other than it is FANTASTIC. The master chef and his wife are such lovely people who's efforts and dedication to the restaurant really have a great influence on the atmosphere. Did I mention that the food is amazing? The rolls are made fresh and just simply really well. I love the design of the seating area and how the booths are separated it really gives a cozy feel to the place. It's really excellent value for the quality of food that you're getting.

I'm not a professional food critique but I can easily tell the food quality was superb with great, great taste. Although the place isn't new or fancy, it's great for casual family dine-in and quick takeout. Sometimes it gets really busy on weekends, longer wait than usual but worth the wait :p If you are looking for a place with great food taste, this place is right for you.
I'd say sashimi varieties and sushi plates are the best as they are of the freshest quality. Also the place is quite small so not adequate for big party size though.
Service is really great, I think the restaurant is run by family and the lady is really kind, always making sure the food is ok, giving lots of smiles, friendly atmosphere.

Went for lunch at Sushi Ginza due to the great ratings on here. I am glad I went. The place was not busy at all and my friend and I got a table quickly. I had the sashimi salad lunch special and my friend had the Sushi Roll lunch special. Each special came with tempera chips, 2 pieces of calamari, 2 pieces of salmon type roll, a potato croquette, and fruits. I also ordered the torpedo roll (smoke salmon, tempera shrimp, tataki tuna) which is really delicious name maybe right. The sashimi salad was really yummy. Big portion all around. They don't cheap out on anything. The total was around $34. A pretty good deal for all the food we had. Love this oriental food

Since travelling to Japan a few years ago, I have been on an obsessive hunt for the city's best ramen noodles. My fiance and I have tried a bunch of different restaurants within the GTA but so far, no luck. We heard about Kenzo's from a family member and suggested we give the place a shot. Why not, what's the harm in trying?
First off, the parking for this place is very limited but don't let this deter you from visiting. Actually, one of the main reasons why I hadn't eaten here before is because of the terrible parking situation. Never again will I let parking be the deciding factor of where to eat. Good food is worth the effort!
As we entered the restaurant it had a very good atmosphere. They have done a great job of making the place resemble that of a restaurant in Japan. I kind of felt like I was back on my vacation the moment we sat down at our table.
The service was good but nothing special. The waitress simply brought us water, took our order and served the food. Typically, Japanese restaurants do a great job of greeting customers as they enter the front door but this place didn't. Either way, I'm not picky about service in general so don't let this stop you from eating here.
Now for the most important part - the food. I wasn't expecting the world as I've already been disappointed by so many ramen places in the city. My fiance and I ordered the same thing which happened to be a basic bowl of ramen - just like they do it in Japan! The portion size was very generous and the price was extremely affordable - only $6.95. After tasting the first bite of ramen I was thoroughly surprised! They actually got the texture of a ramen noodle right! I'll be honest, it wasn't perfect, but pretty damn close. My fiance agreed that this place had great ramen and she's just as picky as I am. We concluded that we would put this in our top 3 ramen places within the GTA. Not too shabby!
It's unfortunate that we still haven't been able to find a place that cooks ramen like they do in Japan. However, maybe it's not realistic to expect this of our city?
Kenzo, give yourself a pat on the back. So far you have done the best job of satisfying our quest for the perfect ramen!

My first time going to Sushi Legend on Ravel Road and to be honest with you, I am very very happy. This place is new so everything is sparkling. The design of the restaurant is so modern and classic, I fell in love instantly. The all you can eat lunch is $12.95 and considering all of the different choices they have, it is soo soo soo worth it. The place is big and comfy and can accommodate a lot of people. The servers are all fluent in English, very friendly and serve you very quickly. My lunch bento box which was $8.50 came in 5 minutes. I was impressed. I always thought that the area needed a sushi place, as in the area of Bathurst/Finch and Bathurst/Sheppard there were no sushi places. In fact, the nearest sushi place was located on Yonge St.
My family had the AYCE dinner (the dinner is 18.95 from Monday to Thursday and 20.95 for Friday and the Weekend). The sushi quality was really good, and I noticed that many of the other clients chose to order the sushi using the regular menu (the non AYCE option). In addition, The Sashimi slices were really big and very fresh.
I also liked the environment of the Restaurant, and found the costumer service to be very good. I would definitely recommended to visit this restaurant!
