I had been to this location of Jack Astor's in the past, but I haven't been in a while. I was thoroughly impressed with this place! We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. Our server came out right away and gave us our menus. She was kind and helpful when we were making our meal selections. I chose the honey garlic chicken fingers with sweet potato fries. They were very delicious! The chicken fingers came with two types of dips, and the sweet potato fries came in a small dish which was very convenient. I liked everything about this place, and would certainly be back!

The food was awesome! One of my friends take me there for a first time to try chicken wings and I really enjoy it . The pub it’s self worm and cozy to sit down with a friends and relax. The waitress are really nice and professional.

This place is hit and miss. Depending on what day it is will be the final judgement. A lot of kids visit this bar late at night and during Wednesday when they have the 12 for 12 draft special on. The place is packed and generally fights break out. Any other time during the week is a good time to be there. The beer is always cold and the food is quite good. The Pizza is fantastic along with the Nacho platter. The price is expensive but you do get good portions. Every time I step into the place, there is new staff hired.

We stopped in on Friday night to grab a coffee and decided to have a piece of cake. Although the cakes are not made there they are absolutely to die for. I got the white hot chocolate which was amazing, although you did have to stir it fairly often to keep the hot chocolate mix from settling out of it.
There is a ton of interesting art work on the walls and the music is great, I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a college bar and like most people if you want to have a few beers and great wings this is the place to go. We ordered their TEAM COMBO special which included 20 wings, 4 potato jackets, 6 mozzarella sticks and fries plus a pitcher of draft beer. We were told about the HELLFIRE wing deal if you can eat a pound they present you with a free T-Shirt...next time for sure.

Great service with very nice waitress. My first time experiencing British pub fare so I didn't know what to expect. Nachos were quite good, and although the Steak & Mushroom pie was nothing like I expected (first time trying a non desert pie), it was still quite tasty. Great atmosphere and quick service. Have been a happy occasional patron of the Niblick for a couple years. Have had lunches, dinners and drinks there. Have to say the food quality is excellent for the price and the menu features authentic UK dishes. The wings are big and the Niblick nachos are hands down the best I have had and are huge and can be shared by 4 people. Its no wonder the place is busy every time I have been there. Lively, fun atmosphere, clean washrooms and attentive staff make the place a real pleasure to visit. Family friendly.

The Brassie is a great place to go with a group of friends. Personally, I go on Tuesdays for the Trivia Night and have a great time, even though the competition is pretty stiff. Often times there are 10 or more teams and the place is full, so the service leaves something to be desired, and even when its not busy there are often mix-ups with orders (usually minor). The quality of the food has really improved over the last year or so and the price is comparable to other pubs in the area. As long as you don't come on Tuesday, you can usually count on a table for a larger group (6 or more).

Williams is essentially an expanded coffee house, that offers food which is edible, but not great. But, that is to be expected, as no one would go here expecting fine dining. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, service is quick and the place seems to be clean. Being right across from McMaster, it is often full of students, many who come to study, and staff doesn't seem to mind.
Williams does have a large variety of dessert offerings, from great cakes to fresh waffles and various icecream desserts. A great place for coffee and dessert!

The food always seems to be good in my experience here. I typically order pulled pork poutine (very good, unique), burgers, wraps, etc. I've never been disappointed during my somewhat extended history of visiting the pub.
The decor is very busy, typical of brit pubs here, and the service is friendly and timely, not overbearing.
Food waiting times are suitable and I've never heard anyone in my party of regulars complain of flat beer, dirty glasses, or hair in their food, as other reviews here indicate.
They do have a patio, albeit small and fills up fairly quickly during lunch hour or immediately after work.

We live around the corner from here, so we visit a lot. I know there's a review on here about regulars...but there was a time when we were NOT regulars and there's a reason we kept coming back!
The wings are second to none, and you can't beat the price. The service is fantastic, regardless of which girl you get. They're all friendly and efficient.
My wife gets the club wrap just about every time, though we've had most things on their menu. The menu may be limited, but it's a PUB, not a restaurant. If there's one thing I wouldn't recommend, I'd say the onion rings. That said, they still seem to be a hit...just not a fan of the batter. Other than that, have at it!

The order bar is at the front door. Lots of warm colours with smiling faces that are always patient and help full. For those that can't make up their minds your not hurried or rushed to make purchases. There are exceptions of course. The atmosphere is roomy, with enough space between tables for privacy.
If your order is not ready at purchase point then the staff will bring it to you with out the feeling that you need to tip again if you did. Great seating with leather couches. Chairs and tables are far enough apart to have reasonably private conversation. The patio is overlooking the Bay. Hope that you like birds. Parking is walking distance or one minute from entrance. I liked that you are left alone, you don't have to be on your game, you can be friendly or not, depending on the person.
