one of our usual food places, as we can walk to it, and the food is good. The owners have a great attitude (desert first for the kids!), are very friendly, as are the staff. ( Only thing I would change is maybe the menu could change up a little more often.) Just an example-my 5 year old came in holding a birthday card she received in the mail that day, and we were going for lunch. The owner came and talked to us for a bit, engaging my daughter in a little talk, then after lunch, the whole serving staff, plus owner, came out of the kitchen singing happy birthday to my little girl, with a free plate of deserts, with her name written in chocolate. I can't see how anyone who visits this jewel, hidden in the corner of the plaza, would find any fault at all. I stumbled upon Dennis' little oasis about 5 years ago and it has become a weekly ritual. Jerk chicken is to die for. Ox tail is the best I have ever had for sure and the rice and peas stand up to any carribean resaurant in the GTA for sure. I have moved to Calgary and put my family as 1A and the Jerk Pit as 1B as things I miss the most. No Caribbean restaurant out here even compares. Read more
