We arrived in Kingston for a hockey tournament and searched for a restaurant that was able to accommodate a group of 40, half of which were kids. The owner together with his staff welcomed our team and did an amazing job. The kids had a great time, the service was the best we've seen from any east side Mario's, and they did a great job on the food. Hats off to the staff and the owner for going above and beyond! We went to Atomica on a weekday for lunch and got a seat by the window. The decor is really unique and we could see how the place could easily fill up and become very loud since it is all one big room (plus a patio). Thankfully, it was very quiet during the hour we were there (11:30ish) since it was so early in the day. The server was very professional, attentive without being pushy. The funghi pizza was apparently very good but my dining companion said that a big-box store carries a frozen one that is even tastier. I created my own with spicy tomato sauce, pulled chicken, feta and roasted red peppers, which was very nice. Overall, the quality is good and the price is a little high but it's a nice occasional dining out venue and they support local growers, which is appreciated. Read more
