Fantastic Italian restaurant! The service was excellent and the food matched the service. We had 4 of us and we all really enjoyed our meals. So impressed by both food and service. Complimentary bruschetta was fresh bright well balanced and incredibly yummy. The Alfredo was solid traditional Italian with a beautiful unique undertone I couldn't identify but loved. This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. Edulis is amazing. The only thing disappointing for me is when dinner is over. The food is phenomenal, the service is warm and friendly, and the space is comfortable and unpretentious. They go above and beyond with thoughtful touches to the experience, like remembering it was my husband and my anniversary. We weren't sure where to have dinner and decided to try this place. It was definitely worth it! When we walked in, we were greeted right away, in Italian and English, which I thought was a nice touch. There was a piano player in the foyer playing nice tunes, I liked that. The server came over right away, very courteous and kind. We were given bread with oil and vinegar to dip, it tasted delicious! Definitely authentically Italian! We then ordered fried calamari to start, definitely a good choice! Nice and crispy! Our pasta came soon after. It was cooked to perfection! The sauce was superb and the pasta's flavours all blended together nicely. I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant and would definitely visit again. The only thing that wasn't too nice was the price, over $80 for two people, but it was well-worth it. Read more

If you're looking for fine dining with great service and a relaxing atmosphere in Toronto, you'll need to look up to the sky and search for Canoe. Food: The menu is simple yet it's high quality and well prepared dishes with great wine and drinks pairing. We decided to go with an app, an entree, and dessert - although the dishes didn't surprise us, they still met our expectations of high quality. The real treats were the Oyster Boy's Finest and Pan Seared Quebec Foie Gras, each being a great start to our meal. Although it was great, it didn't end with a bang. The meal kept its pace right through to dessert. Service: The wait staff were very attentive and accomodating. Our server was attentive to our needs, and was engaged without being too involved in our dining experience. I was impressed by the service from everyone this evening! Atmosphere: I would definitely recommend trying to reserve a table by the window. The place is beautiful with the simple and modern decor, though the view of the city is an added bonus to your meal. It's definitely worth the visit if you're looking to dine in the sky with a great meal, but be prepared to empty out your wallet, because this place isn't cheap. Read more
