The first time I visited Oriental Gardens was around this time last year. I went to lunch with a friend, and loved it! My plate was full and for only $11 It's a cute little place, obviously a family business. Which I love :) I usually order the number 10, along with some egg rolls. Personally, I think their eggrolls are 'Da bomb' Very good food, always hot. I've been reading a lot of reviews about bad customer service. But this has never been a problem for me. The girls are very nice. Though I do agree, that sometimes they are a bit too chatty with each other. Which is why I mostly order take out. I once walked over, and placed an order for take out. The girl said it'd be about 30 minutes. So I sat down and timed them (which I always do) I waited about 45 minutes for my food. But, I didn't blame them because it was very busy. I wouldn't recommend using their bathrooms... It's very dirty in there. I used it once, and swore never again. Overall... Great food! Good service! Awesome prices! Read more

I stayed in mid Jan 2013. I had a great experience here. Room was excellent and staff were friendly. PLENTY of parking as I had a large truck and easy to get in there. Beautiful hotel interior unlike any I have seen before. Had a late dinner in the restaurant and though the choices were terribly limited food was still good and reasonably priced. Recommend as the ONLY worth while choice in Thunder Bay. Read more

I visited TB recently; I lived there for 9 years about 25 years ago. We used to go to the Cumberland years ago and it was a delight to find that it is still a family business and still great food. Can't beat their soups, spiced shrimp and they have dim sum! Thanks so much Cumberland. Read more

I have been going to this Restaurant since it opened and think It Is unfair that you allow people to post comments against the owner.. Every time and I mean Every time myself and my party has been there we have been treated with the utmost respect. Our servers have been great and the food has been Fantastic. The owner has always gone out of his way to to make sure everything Is to our satisfaction. As for yelling at his employee's have NEVER seen it one time..Maybe you should stop to think before posting these slanderous reviews that these might be disgruntled employees who do not want to work but stand around texting or showing customers their tattoo's among other things which i have seen in other shops..My family and I will go back to rooster and continue to go back. Shame Shame this should be about the food NOT slandering someones name or Business. Read more

Most amazing pasta ever. The caeasar dressing was the best. The chocolate mousse cake was so good, not too sweet. The service was great, not too intrusive, very friendly. I love how the kitchen is out front so you can see them cooking. The cooks all seemed to be young but were very professional. The owners answered any questions I had, and very friendly. Dim sum at the Canton doesn't disappoint. It's always fresh, authentic, and delicious as it should be. My only issue is with the service, which is inconsistent depending on who is serving. The hired staff is preferred over the owners, as they are more friendly and patient with customers. The owner isn't unpleasant per se, but just a little too involved and expectant. Love the restaurant overall, either for dimsum or an authentic Chinese dinner item. The service fades into the background with food that good! Read more

Should be 9.5 out of 10. Great ice cream deserves a 10. Fries when ordered are not your usual fast food fare as they are surprisingly near grease free. I try to make it there at leat once a week for lunch. Read more
