Well, here's a place that does a great fish and chips even though it's not their specialty, the kind of place I have been searching for since, well, a long time ago. The chips are excellent too, definitely cut and fried on the premises, no frozen stuff here. The waitress was quick to warn us that due to a large private function upstairs the service was going to be a bit slow, she was correct but we won't hold that against them. My girlfriend and I went up to tobermory ontario a few weeks ago. I have never had such amazing customer service in my entire life. Our server was super kind, funny and made lots of jokes to keep us entertained through our meal. We are Maids Cottage regulars and have rarely if ever been disappointed. The food is as close to home cooked as you will ever get in any restaurant, in any city, anywhere in the world. We're not talking Haute Cuisine here but Comfort Food. Any of the rare times there has been anything that I didn't like or took to long (they can be very,very busy at times) the staff has been more than accommodating about making it right. I had reservations about going to another Wimpy's, after having such a disastrous experience at the one in my town. The boyfriend however had eaten here many times, and told me that he'd really enjoyed it, and we needed a place we could take his year old son and all of us be comfortable. I was quite happy with my experience at this Wimpy's.
