A no frills restaurant with really good food. I had brisket on a bun with horseradish and coleslaw, my friend had peameal bacon on a bun with a fried egg and french fries. Ordered the $98 Lobster Sashimi for 2 set menu. Good portion, lobster served 2 ways, follow with Salad Bar, Soup and 2 Steaks.
Service was great, no rushing you thru the courses, clears the table after each course. must be patient, waited 10-15mins for the sashimi, but you can head on to the salad bar to start up with some fruits and lettuce. Good variety of Vegs @ the salad bar.
Finished off with their version of a funnel cake, topped off w ice cream.

Been coming here for years. I dont know who wrote that last review but they must have a screw loose. What would you expect if you tried to get a table for 7 people on a saturday nite without a reservation when the place is lined up. We had a great time, the food was good and the service was adequate considering how busy the place was. The lineup indicated they are doing something right. Not too many restaurants are around as long as they have been.

One of my favorite restaurants in Barrie. We've been here many times for many special occasions. We always enjoy the food and experience every time we go. Today we tried his brunch menu and it was really good as well. We had the Eggs Benny and Breakfast Poutine, along with a side of the homemade onion and apple sausages. Delicious. Now if all brunch tasted like that I'd eat brunch a lot more often.

Jenna, our server, made the experience so enjoyable! We had a retirement dinner last night. We were provided with a wonderful description of the menu. A lot of laughs. Jenna has a level 3 Sommelier course, if you are interested in Wine. She’s Greek, so loves lamb! But watch out, she’s pretty witty having a Bachelor degree Psychology. It was nice to have such a personable server. We had a lovely room to chat with our group. The food was delicious. Our retiree was provided with a free dessert.

I have been a customer of King Henry's for the last 6 years and I have loved every visit. The food is amazing and they have found gems to work in their kitchen. Everything from the featured appetizers to the homemade desserts have been a treat to look forward to. My favourite thing to order are the curry fries and the Prime rib dinner on Friday and Saturday night is amazing, but get there early because they can sell out. The prices of the food and drinks are low compared to their high quality. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and treat their regulars like part of the family. Overall definitely worth the visit you will quickly become addicted!!! ENJOY :)

Hey, so its your standard greasy spoon. Quick service with a open kitchen so you can see whats going on. I work about two blocks away so I eat there probably 2 times weekly on average. I have never been let down. 5.95 for a lunch special that is more than I can eat, although Im sure that some ppl would have little problem ingesting the mountain of food. I've been here a few times over the years and this restaurant does not disappoint! The food is pretty standard for American cuisine and is usually well cooked, though I once had chicken that tasted off. The signature sauce that comes with meals is amazing! Dessert portions are too small for the price but prevent me from overeating. Service is friendly but sometimes slow during peak times.
I'd recommend this place for family meals (it's not private enough for dates). The atmosphere has a comfortable, homey feel to it. I definitely recommend the classic rotisserie chicken!
