I had never set foot into this bar until friends moved into the area and extolled it's virtue. Now, my family makes me drive there every month without fail. It's not a fancy place by any means but they do great pub fare like Wings and Nachos and that's what you're there for. Service is excellent as well, you never go thirsty. Read more

I understand that new owners took over in 2009. They kept the cosy atmosphere and all the great Scotch, and they made the food a lot better. The place looks more spiffy now, too. Lion on the Beach is great place to relax, drink and eat. The food to date has always been delicious and scores high points in presentation and originality. While it is the disguise as regular pub fare, it would appear to be more tantilizing than one would have expected. The atmosphere is soothing and fun much like the rest of the beaches. The services can be a bit irradict due to overflow of customers but has always been exceptional. The one draw back on the services comes from one particular bartender who has forced me to go on painkillers due to making me smile so hard that my face hurts. Cheers Read more
