I made reservations and went to the restaurant at the end of May for my 18th birthday party. It looked very elegant fom the mall entrance. The ambience was very modern and cozy, though it was slightly noisy at times. Service was prompt and attentive with our orders and the manager even came and brought me a piece of chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written in icing on the plate. Everyone unanimously agreed that the food was great. We shared a group veggie, chips, and dip platter and I had the steak well done. It was cooked to perfection and was artfully arranged with savory garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The cake I received was delicious, as was the sorbet a friend let me try. Overall, the evening went perfectly and the meal was easy on the wallet since none of us drank any alcohol. I would definitely come back here or to another Oliver & Bonacini managed etablishment. Throwing up the entire night on sat n Sunday with runs. Not pleasant gotten very weak from something we ate at Joeys don mills n Lawrence. We may need to reconsider. ??? I showed up at the restaurant thinking I was in for a quiet dinner with him, but he had my friends & family waiting at the restaurant without my knowing. Service & the food was fantastic. I remember coming here in the early 1990s and loved it then. It still has one of the best burgers in town, especially the homemade burger. They serve beer and have a TV as well. I watched the hockey playoffs while having my food. Great food, excellent customer service and hope they do not renovate as I love the classic diner look! If you have never been here, it is a must! Their event catering service for lunch & evening snacks made me & my team proud on my decision. I wonder how I missed looking this food place for last many years.
