On the weekend I dropped by because I learned that they had Lugtread Lagered Ale on tap. The hostess said that they were serving Sunday brunch and that sitting at the bar was awkward. However, soon, a waiter brought in a bar stool and soon I was sipping my fave beer on tap. It was a sunny day so the view was great, bartender friendly and as a bonus there was a keyboard player singing a whole host of great songs. Found your restaurant online when searching for good places to eat in oakville. We stopped in for lunch just after 1 p.m. saturday. while there was a bit of a line,mit moved quickly and we were soon seated. We had the pear and butternut squash soup, a grilled chicken sandwich and blackened salamon salad. all of the food was exceptional! Mandarin is a really excellent place to eat a buffet. They are really kind to you and free refills (water, coke). They give you these mint candy after your visit for free. If you tell them that it is your birthday, they give you a cake piece, sing the happy birthday song and a free picture. Also, they have decorations for you to enjoy and they keep the place very neat. I like how they make food and name the food it’s specific name. The names also say if it is sugar-free, and if it is spicy. They have specific rooms that they assign you to eat and the sign tells you what room it is (Room A, Room b .etc.). The employes are really nice and when you come in, they make you feel welcomed (unless if the lineup is really long and people have reservations). After you are done with your food, you can just leave your plate on your table. You can get a new plate with food on it so you do not have to use the same plate over and over again. In conclusion, you should really go to Mandarin. It is a really excellent buffet to go to. It has crab legs right now and they are really expensive to buy at a store. They have a variety of foods and make their own combinations of foods which is really good. We’ve been going to this restaurant for years. The quality and quality of the food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. It is a family oriented restaurant where kids are welcome which is nice. And this from a senior senior. And the owner is environmentally aware, and has made changes to reduce the use of plastic before many others; and is respectful of his staff and so closes every year over the holiday period so staff can be with their family.
