I will always remember what I had for dinner the first time my parents brought me to the Cook's Shop. It was the Chicken Diablo - a whole, large chicken, butterflied with a spicy sauce. The server commented that it was "bigger than me" and I might not be able to eat it all. I proved her wrong! SInce then, I have made many trips to this little place and most of the time I still end up with the chicken. My girlfriend feels the same way about the Angus Scallopini. On our last visit, the "garnish" (as they call it), was an order of spagheti in marinara sauce. In most places, this "garnish" could have been dinner! I will never stop coming here. The food is great. The wait staff are super nice and accommodating. And the one waiter who always seemed to be in a hurry is now gone - (some people will find that a relief, but I must say he waited on us a couple of times and it wasn't too bad). I would definitely come again. Their pizza is delicious and so filling. I ate a whole one by myself at their two for one specials. My only complaint is the size of the place, which was really crowded because my friend and I had to squeeze around people and their tables. Not much moving room. That's all. But I'd definitely go back because their service is very friendly, accommodating and casual, much like the atmosphere. And their food is the best. Read more

For years, Thai Palace has been one of my favorite restaurants to go to for lunch and dinner. The prices at lunch are at a great price, which include a soup or salad. Just had dinner at the bistro and it was fantastic. The service was great and the waitress was very helpful and answered all the questions we had about the menu and drinks. She was very personable and made the evening very enjoyable. The food was fantastic. We had the crab and shrimp cakes and bruschetta for appetizers which were great. All four of our entrees were hot, flavourful and delicious. We had two pasta dishes, lamb chops and a chicken dish which were all delightful. We were able to substitute sides without a problem or fuss from the waitress. We also had two desserts which were also fantastic. I have been to the bistro now four times and very time I have had something different and it has always been great. No complaints about anything. Great evening and atmosphere with a fantastic meal.
