My honey and I just moved to town about a week ago from Vancouver and were looking for a place to get a decent meal that did not include pizza or burgers. I am happy to report that the roast lamb dinner at Orestes is the best I have ever had! Not only was it delicious, but the portion size was quite manly. Will definitely be going back for more. I tried Aiolis in Parksville b.c. yesterday with two dear friends. We all had different fish and chip dishes. I had the deep fried halibut and chips my friends had the deep fried pacific cod and chips and one had the deep fried lingcod and chips. All 3 of us agreed how delicious and ungreasy all of our lunches were fabulous and so fresh!!! Prices are fantastic for todays prices. This is a gem and a must visit restaurant! The menu is by far better than any other menu I've ssen in the Comox valley and the Chef didn't disappoint. The ambiance and great back ground music would appear to a romantic couple or a larger party. The menu is very reasonably priced and the quality is superb.
