My honey and I just moved to town about a week ago from Vancouver and were looking for a place to get a decent meal that did not include pizza or burgers. I am happy to report that the roast lamb dinner at Orestes is the best I have ever had! Not only was it delicious, but the portion size was quite manly. Will definitely be going back for more.

I tried Aiolis in Parksville b.c. yesterday with two dear friends. We all had different fish and chip dishes. I had the deep fried halibut and chips my friends had the deep fried pacific cod and chips and one had the deep fried lingcod and chips. All 3 of us agreed how delicious and ungreasy all of our lunches were fabulous and so fresh!!! Prices are fantastic for todays prices. Definetely will be a new favourite I cant wait to try more of their menu items. If u love seafood this is the place!!!

A couple weeks ago I had a bite of a salad roll from East West Café from a co-worker, I was so impressed ive been paying people at work to go get them for me since for lunch. I once bribed my boss to go get me one when he said sure aslong as u buy me a Won Ton soup, apparently its the best...well I HAD to have my salad roll so I agreed. When he came back I tried the Won Ton soup and its the best ive ever had, ill be going back to East West for a long time to come :D

This is a gem and a must visit restaurant! The menu is by far better than any other menu I've ssen in the Comox valley and the Chef didn't disappoint. The ambiance and great back ground music would appear to a romantic couple or a larger party. The menu is very reasonably priced and the quality is superb. No wraps or sandwiches on this dinner menu!! We walked away from another well known restaurant because of this. We were looking for a restaurant like bisque and we highly recommend it.

This is not just the best restaurant in Courtenay but one of the best I have ever been too. I look forward to trips up island just so I can eat here. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavour. The parking lot is tiny and awkward but you can also park on the street. They are closed for a while after lunch rush before opening for dinner at 5p (?). Everything is beautifully prepared and very generous proportions. The staff are very friendly and most accomodating to any substitutions you may want to make. Room is drafty on a cool day. Lots of us 'regulars' are addicted to their 'Spring Rolls' Very large portion served cut in small pcs with dipping sauce and rice or noodles. makes a very large meal,you wouldnt have room for anything more by yourself. If you share and get maybe 2 other dishes,that would be plenty for 4 people.
