I ordered take out online through their online ordering system, which is very fast and convenient for a lunch time take out order from my work. I got the curry chicken lunch special and with out realizing it, I was going to order an extra samosa thinking it wouldn't come with one because the price was so cheap. But to my surprise it came with the curry chicken, rice and a samosa. Most places for $7.50 you just get the chicken and rice so I was very satisfied with the amount of food and price. I also decided to get as hot as possible because most Indian places give you a mild at best even when you ask for as hot as possible (possibly because of the type of people that live in this area) and this was definitely hot. When we got there it was a little crazy inside because it was 12:30pm and the staff seemed to be rushing around but in all that rush two people had asked us if we were there for the pick up order or to dine in. We got our food quickly and 2 staff members (one of which who seemed like he may have been the owner) sparked up conversations with us while still doing their jobs. The flavour of the curry was great. I don't eat Indian curry as much as Thai curry (for any one who eats both, there is a big difference) but I have some what of an idea how Indian curries should taste. What was good: the price, the service, the food and the convenience is really great . What could be better: if it was an all you can eat buffet and the hours of operation seem to be really weird and the decor inside the restaurant seemed to have been from a pub that was there before it. Kismet is my go-to place for Indian/Bangladeshi food in Waterloo. I usually get take out because the space is pretty small, and I've never had a problem with the people at the cash. My partner is not a fan of cilantro and they've never given as a problem when we ask for items without. Their naan is the best I've had in Waterloo (Grain of Salt in Cambridge is the only place I've tried with better naan). Much better than the sort of pancakey stuff I've seen at other places *cough*Curry in a Hurry. I really like their aloo gobi, which is potato and caulifower with curry spices. I very conveniently live down the street from Lemon Grass, and as such find myself getting takeout from there frequently, and if I have the time I do like going in to sit for a meal. The food is always hot and fresh, and absolutely delicious. As a student, I appreciate that their costs of meals are really affordable, considering that there are almsot always left overs due to their generous portions. My absolute favourite is the spicy pad thai. It is sweet and spicy and has lots of chicken and shrimp, as well as bell peppers and onions and carrots. Absolutely delicious. All of their crispy chicken and duck dishes are delicious, they have a range of sauces that they prepare for whatever mood you are in. As far as appetizers go, they have mouth watering spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce, and fresh salad rolls with their addictive peanut butter sauce. The crispy wontons and mango salad shouldn't be skipped either, which is why I love their appetizer combo platter; 5 different appetizers to share with the table for only 12 bucks! Great value. The line ups can be long on weekends because it is a small space, but it is most definitely worth it. The service is fast and friendly, exactly what you want in a restaurant. They just redid all of the inside and it is a really lovely place to sit and eat dinner. With Lemon Grass, you really can't go wrong! Read more

This is the only place that we will order our Chinese food from. Food is always fantastic. Their Lemon Chicken is by far the best we have ever had. I definitely recommend adding that to your order. I was hoping that the dishes would have been more authentic Chinese. The Sichuan chicken with mixed vegetables was not spicy at all, a total disappointment.
