We had Don of Hudson Bay Charters haul our boat from storage near Chemainus down to the dock in Ladysmith. It was very tight due to another vehicle parked in the way but he skillfully and patiently maneuvered his truck until he was able to get it safely out of there. Washed my hair for free, almost exclusively used scissors rather than an electric shaver so no loud noise and IMO a better cut anyway, didn't complain when I had to get cash out of the ATM next door, and didn't mind talking to pass the time.
I also got one of the best haircuts I've ever had out of it, for the same price as I would have payed in the city for an assembly line, all shaver, in and out ASAP hack and slash.

We came in by ferry from vancouver. had to take a cab to airport which is costly. but no other car rental offices were open after 5pm downtown. because i am under 25 was asked for proof of insurance by lady from bugdet. why would i carry my insurance in my pocket. hertz was nice enough to help us out and got a better price. see curt at hertz for a good deal
