Stroll down 124 Street in Edmonton and you’ll find a ton of lovely spots to stop and recharge with a steaming hot cup of coffee. Some of them stick to simple brewed coffee while others create delicious coffee concoctions but all of them believe in freshly roasted, quality beans.
This coffee house originated on 104 Street in Edmonton but its popularity has spilled over to a second location, on 124 Street. Its opening in summer of 2014 was highly anticipated by the business crowd, especially those who work just a little too far away from the original location. Their vanilla almond milk lattes are to die for, as are their many other coffee concoctions. They also sell bags of the Intelligentsia beans they brew in-house.
Their Chai lattes are amazing but don’t overlook the regular lattes or other kinds of coffee – they brew every bean with love and the results are amazing. The atmosphere is loud and cheerful; it’s always bustling with people. Whether you’re grabbing a mocha latte to go or settling in for the long haul with an espresso, you’ll find yourself drawn to this spot day after day.
This French patisserie worked closely with Matchstick Coffee, a brewing company in Vancouver, to create the espresso known as Bulldog. Duchess Bake Shop serves up this nutty expresso with hints of chocolate as the ideal companion to any one of their fabulous pastries.
