If you can’t do something yourself, it’s always useful to know the best person who can. This idea of looking far and wide for top quality and service makes sense in the home furnishings and accessories field, too. Germany is renowned for world-class cutlery and cookware, and everyone loves an Italian leather sofa.

Frank and Gunnar Kilian, the brothers behind Kilian International Design, have been in the business since 1987, and they have the ability to source quality, elegant products. They stock European brands like Natuzzi, Italsofa, Zwilling and Fortessa, and make a proud nod towards local craftsmanship with Canadian furnishings company, Mobican.

Dealing with home furnishings runs in the family, with the brothers learning the trade in Germany through their parents’ business. “Back then, people bought for life. Now there’s a shorter life span for furniture and accessories because a lot of people like to change their style every few years,” says Frank. Constants at Kilian International Design are the values of the brothers: they only offer quality products they can confidently recommend.
